CS Magazine is the flagship Modern Luxury Chicago brand. Publishing 10 issues a year, CS is Chicago’s destination for luxury lifestyle, fashion, fine dining and more. CS has a unique voice in the Chicago luxury market as it is the only publication of its kind. I was instrumental in planning and executing the brand strategy of CS Chicago Social all while showcasing the local and national brands advertising in the magazine. Social Media
Curation and Copywriting
As the person tasked with running all social media accounts in the Chicago office, I truly became a social media specialist. CS was one of the brands I did the most work with. I tasked interns with collaborating on social posts, worked one-on-one with the VP of Social Media in regards to national social media advertisements. I also collaborated with the sales team and directly with clients on local paid posts. Many of the images we used on our social channels came directly from the pages of the magazine, our advertisers or from photographers around the city who gave us signed and explicate permission to use their images. Some images on the Instgram page I even shot myself as I dabble in photography.
The social media copywriting process was something I was trained to do with my minor in Multimedia Journalism. I sharpened my skills at Modern Luxury and on any given day would craft or approve from 5-9 Instagram, Twitter or Facebook captions. I am an expert in the realm of Social Media Marketing, which helps me further understand the Marketing industry and the importance of data in the seemingly all visual world.
From my time as an intern and Marketing Coordinator at Modern Luxury, CS’s Instagram page went from to 32,673 to 35,550 followers.
Graphic Design and Cross Market Collaboration
Visual communication is at the very core of social media. Due to this fact social media graphic design was at the center of my work. Utilizing editing platforms such as InDesign, LightRoom, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva and even iPhone applications I personally designed and collaborated on design elements with other marketers in different cities along with the VP of Social Media to create and share moving and on-brand graphics.

Simon G. X Miranda Rae Mayo
This photo/video shoot was for the December Issue of CS Magazine featuring Chicago Fire actress Miranda Rae Mayo and luxury jeweler Simon G. The Simon G. Committed To campaign explored what the star is committed to outside of her life in the spotlight. In this position I learned valuable skills in influencer and celebrity marketing along with what it takes to collaborate with the Photographer, Videographer, Celebrity and Marketing Director to create beaittul content. This lead to give me a more holistic understanding of creative fashion and marketing campaign production.

As the namesake Chicago brand, CS magazine had the more signature events than any of our other publications.
CS Savor at Sunset
As a celebration of the July/August Feast Issue, Savor at Sunset is an annual summer event that pays homage to the top chefs and restauranteurs in the city of Chicago. The Marketing team brought the editorial pages of the magazine to life, giving each restaurant a chance to bring their dishes to the paying Savor at Sunset customers. Activating brands such as Ferrari by Continental Autosports and Molson Coors Blue Moon and Cape Line Sparkling Cocktails along with a bevy of participating Chicago Restaurants, Savor at Sunset was the event of the summer.
I closely managed the guest list along with creating social media promotion and brand signage before the event. Then, handled vendor correspondence and on-site event coordination the day of.
CS Magazine 25th Anniversary Celebration
The 25th Anniversary celebration of CS Magazine was one of the most elaborate events I have ever been involved in planning. I had the opportunity to work with and activate incredible brands including Porsche, Lober Motors, Issey Miyake, Molson Coors Peroni, Glenfiddich, Hendrick’s Gin, Chateau D’Esclans Whispering Angel Rose and Remy Martin.
I worked closely with the team at Tao, HMR Designs, the Marketing Director and Market President as well as our interns, to bring the spectacular evening seamlessly to life.
CS and NS Women of Style- NEMA Grand Opening
Honoring our 2019 CS and NS Women of Style, Modern Luxury Chicago celebrated the recipients featured in the special section along with the grand opening of the luxury residential building NEMA in the South Loop. Longines was on-site where they presented their new Conquest Classic Collection. Sponsored by Longines, NEMA Chicago and Molson Coors Cape Line Sparkling Cocktails, the evening was one to remember.
I worked closely with the Women of Style to coordinate social media for the evening, the team at Longines to activate their watch station and NEMA Chicago to ensure event execution.
On-Site Social Media Coverage
Women on the Rise
CS Magazine and Nordstrom presented Women on the Rise; a fashion presentation in conjunction with a panel featuring powerful Chicago-based career women. Moderated by style maven and Editor-in-Chief of Modern Luxury Interiors Chicago Laura Hine, the discussion focused on integrating work wear into the everyday lives of the panelists. The fashion presentation featured brands SUISTUDIO, Club Monaco, Reiss, BOSS and Fluerette. Gloria Ferrer and Fino Tequila provided libations after the presentation. Models were provided by Select Model Management Chicago.
I aided the Nordstrom team in facilitating/dressing the models, assuring the comfort of the panelists, booking and taking name captions for our photographer and the initial social media promotion.
Committed with Simon G. x Miranda Rae Mayo
As an extension of Simon G. Jewelry’s special section featuring Miranda Rae Mayo, CS Magazine hosted a Committed With dinner event. The Exchange312 event space in Wicker Park was transformed into a luxe intimate dinner setting sprinkled with Simon G. pieces on display. Around 40 guest came and enjoyed beautiful floral by Lush Floral Chicago, delicious food by Paramount Events and committed conversation with Miranda and representatives from her charity of choice Scared Keepers. Dr. Daniel Krochmal of The Krochmal Center for Plastic Surgery set up a piercing bar where guests received free Simon G. 14k studs if they were brave enough to pierce their ears.
I collaborated closely with the Paramount Events team choosing the menu, David of Lush Floral Chicago to streamline his vision for the event, created and printed event signage/menu’s, curated the event playlist, set up Simon G. Jewelry vignettes and more.
